I adore this shot. Okay, so it's not a real butterfly- it's a plastic butterfly that I've had for a while now. It came tucked in a vase of flowers that were given to me when I started to become really sick, and even after the flowers died I made sure that this was still around to bring up my spirit.
I love butterflies. Butterflies and dragonflies, they're both such rad little creatures. I usually get butterflies landing on my hair because of the shades of bright blue and bright green. They probably just want a free ride though.

Originality Technique ImpactThis is very beautiful! ^_^ I really like how the background is blurred. It brings more attention to the butterfly as it is the main focus point and that is an important trait for the photo to have. However, the focus on the right side could be a little better on the wings!
The photo is very crisp in the points of focus and the purple stands out well against the green. The overall composition of the photo was well thought out and the close up has a great impact.
